Reformation. An Initiator of Modernity? In the year of the anniversary of the Reformation the Protestant Research Academy raises the question about the impact of the Reformation: the Reformation, has it been an initiator of modernity in different social fields and did it remain one? What was the contribution of the Reformation to the philosophy of enlightenment? (Volker Gerhardt) How did its different currents influence the development of law? (Mathias Schmoeckel) What was its influence on society, political thinking and action (Detlef Pollack, Yves Bizeul) and what was its impact on music and literature? (Helmut Fleinghaus, Ursula Kocher) What is the significance of Reformation theology for the foundations of scientific thinking? (Ulrich Körtner) The contributions to these questions and the subsequent controversial debates at the Berlin meeting in January 2017 are documented in this volume of the Protestant Research Academy. leírás elrejtése
